| Ko Tao PADI Open Water Tour |
9-10 days |
Whale shark, Ko Tao, Thailand Do you want to learn to dive, but avoid the cold, murky waters of home? Then why not learn to dive in the warm, tropical waters off the island of Ko Tao. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular diving course in the world, and where better to take it than this exciting, exotic location. Situated in the Gulf of Thailand, this secluded island provides the perfect setting for your first diving course. Warm, clear waters conceal some of the worlds best dive sites, most just a few minutes boat trip from your hotel and the dive centre.
We begin this tour in Bangkok where we take you on a tour to the splendid Grand Palace, with its golden towers and famous Emerald Buddha. An option is also available to explore Bangkok's surprisingly rural western suburbs by long-tail boat, and we can extend your time in Bangkok to give you a chance to see some of the city's other popular sights if you wish). We then transfer by overnight sleeper train and ferry to the island of Ko Tao. Once in Ko Tao, we’ll introduce you to the staff at the Dive Centre before you start your Open Water diving course.
Diver off Ko Tao, Thailand The Open Water Course is conducted over a 4-day period and, successful completion leads to full entry-level certification to the world of Scuba diving.
