If you want to improve your diving skills, and to enjoy some of the most spectacular dive sites in the world, then our Ko Tao PADI Advanced Open Water course is what you’re looking for. With more than 20 top class dive sites dotted around this beautiful, palm fringed island, every day you’re sure to find something new to explore. Just a few days of diving at this tremendous site elevates your qualifications to that of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, and there is time for plenty of extra diving as well.
We begin in Bangkok where we take you on a tour to the splendid Grand Palace, with its golden towers and famous Emerald Buddha. You can also explore Bangkok's canals by long-tail boat in the afternoon, and we can extend your time in Bangkok to visit more sights if you wish). We then transfer you by overnight sleeper train and ferry to the island of Ko Tao. Once in Ko Tao, we’ll introduce you to the staff at the Dive Centre before you start your Advanced Open Water diving course.
The Advanced Open Water Course is only open to certified Open Water divers. The course is conducted over a 3-day period, during which you will take 3 compulsory 'core' dives, plus 2 chosen optional Adventure Dives. Your Core dives will include a Deep Dive, and a Navigation Dive. Your optional dives will be selected from the following: Boat Dive, Drift Dive, Wreck Dive, Night Dive, Underwater naturalist, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery. This course is designed to enhance your knowledge and awareness of recreational diving. This course can be done in conjunction with the Open Water Course.
You then have some free time in Ko Tao to either relax or treat yourself to a few extra dives, before we transfer you back by ferry and train to Bangkok to finish the tour. Optional airport arrival and departure transfers are available on request.
