Tour Options

Single Room Supplement
If you are a single traveller, then we do need to add a single supplement charge (we do not share rooms between separate bookers on our Superior level Thailand tours). This supplement guarantees you a single room throughout your tour.
Note: Couples will always be given a private double room. Triple rooms with 3 beds are not generally available, but rooms with connecting doors are available for family groups.

Deluxe hotel upgrade (on private tours)
This option is designed for private departures on our Classic Bangkok tour, and upgrades your accommodation from our normal Superior level 5 star hotel, to one of Bangkok and the world's finest hotels. This price covers a deluxe studio room at the Sukothai Bangkok (further supplements may apply during peak seasons). Other hotels are also available on request.

Ayutthaya Day trip (by river)
This full day tour (approx. 07.30-17.00) takes you by boat up-river to the World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya to visit the historic ruins of this former capital of Thailand, and also to Bang Pa-In, the former Summer Palace. Afterwards, we board a luxurious river cruiser for lunch which will be served while cruising to Bangkok along the Chao Phraya River (min 2 people).

Bangkok Introduction tour
This introductory half day tour is done on foot and using a wide selection of different public transport to familiarise you with the city of Bangkok and its many different sites and features. We concentrate more on learning about the life of the city rather than visiting famous sites which you may see during the main part of your tour.

Bangkok Temples tour
This half-day tour will enthrall you with the spectacular yet delicate beauty of some of Bangkok's most famous monasteries and temples. We visit the Marble Temple, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, and the Golden Buddha Temple (if you have already visited some of these during your tour, the itinerary will be adjusted slightly to visit other sites such as Wat Ratchanatdaram, the only existing Metal Palace in the world, the amulet market, the Giant Swing, and Wat Suthat, for the outstanding Ordination Hall and beautifully crafted wooden doors).

Kanchanaburi River Kwai day trip
This full day tour (approx. 06.20-17.30) visits historic Kanchanaburi, and includes visits to the Allied War Cemetery, war museum, and the Bridge on the River Kwai. We take a train journey on the Death Railway over the new bridges, and view the rmains of the wooden viaduct buildt by the allied prisoners of war. We also enjoy a short, long-tailed boat trip along the Kwai Noi River before returning to Bangkok. Lunch is included (min 2 people).

Bangkok Country Life & Cookery
This full-day tour starts with a cruise in a long-tailed boat to witness the scenic life of people living along Bangkok's waterways. We learn some of the secrets of Thai cooking at the house of a Thai family located on the banks of one the canals. We will discover how fresh herbs and spices are blended into tasty dishes, and have time for discussions and to test the tastes of all that is demonstrated (this tour is run on a joining basis with other travellers).
