Southeast Asia has perhaps some of the most idyllic islands and beaches anywhere in the world. Palm fringed, golden sandy beaches lapped by warm turquoise waters create an exotic paradise found in only a few places on earth. The region has also developed some beautiful beach hotels with a style and atmosphere all their own. Spa facilities and treatment options are widely available to a high standard for those who want to pamper themselves during their stay. All our tours can start or end with a beach or island extension and you can choose the level and style of your accommodation to suit your budget. Perhaps a remote and romantic island retreat or a luxury spa hotel or a fun packed activity resort, or just a simple bamboo hut, the choice is yours.
So whether it’s Thailand’s islands, Vietnam’s idyllic coast or the hidden beaches of Cambodia, Thailand Uncovered can create the perfect beach holiday just for you.
Escape from the commercialized tourist resorts of Phuket and Ko Phi Phi and discover the delights of Krabi - sea, sand and sunshine. With this tour you can explore some of Thailand’s finest beaches and coral reefs and experience the wonder of paddling by kayak through sea caves and towering canyons.
Thailand is rightly famous for its beautiful islands and beaches, and they can make a beautiful and relaxing end to a tour exploring other parts of the country. We can suggest a wide variety of different styles of hotel, resort, and destination to visit depending on your interests, budget, the season, and the time you have available. The options shown below are some simple examples, but we can adjust these to fit your individual tour and requirements.
This morning we pick you up from your hotel and drive south to the island of Ko Samet, approx. 200km or 3 hours drive and a short ferry crossing from Bangkok. This short journey makes Ko Samet the closest island to Bangkok and as a result it can get very busy with visitors from Bangkok at weekends and public holidays. It remains a beautiful island though with lovely white sandy beaches, getting gradually quieter and more peaceful towards its southern tip.
The next 3 days are free for you to enjoy your time relaxing on the beach, trying some snorkelling, or walking around the island. Some scuba-diving is available and boats can take you to some nearby islands with better visibility. If you are very keen snorkelers or scuba divers then other islands may be a better option.
Overnight: 4 nights at a 4-star resort hotel

This morning we pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for the short flight south to Ko Samui. You are then met and transferred to your chosen resort. If you prefer, you can do this journey by taking the overnight sleeper train to Surat Thani and then a fast ferry to Ko Samui. Or, if you are in southern Thailand already, we will arrange a transfer and ferry from your previous destination.
The next 3 days are completely free for you to enjoy your time on this beautiful island. Ko Samui. There are many optional activities available on the coast, in the sea for snorkelling and scuba-diving, and in the islands interior. Alternatively you can just relax and soak up the sun. Ko Samui has a wide range of accommodation options and areas to stay available, including the busy beach and nightlife of Chaweng, the interesting and quieter fishing village of Bophut, and more remote options as well.
